Ok, I totally had one of my first wedding insanity/carried away moments today.
Lisa found this adorable ringbearer pillow that is "perfect".

But wait, I had "decided" no kids in the wedding party.....oh no.....
Here's my take.....we have a pretty decent resource for ringbearers and flowergirls.....but, we've decided on a relatively kid-free wedding. Most of our friends with kids are getting baby sitters or if they are out of towners, not traveling with the kids.
It's not that we mind having kids around the wedding, it's just that, our preference is to have a ceremony with no distractions and a reception where adults can have a night off and enjoy themselves without having children running around underfoot.
I must admit that some of this philosophy comes from a recent wedding I shot where it was a majority of kids as guests....yeah, you read that right. It kinda freaked me out. But, as a photographer I enjoyed it because there were numerous opportunities to get that "awwwww...." shot, you know, the one with the flowergirl looking up at the bride in awe, etc.....but, at the reception....
Well, let's just see that I escaped a few near death experiences due to kids running around, sliding on the dance floor and taking me out.
So, alas, no adorable flowergirls or ringbearers for us, but I'm more than happy to step out of the traditional bridal party setup.
