After an unbearably long week at work, I was thrilled to hang out with Scott and Alden for "Mexican night". This is our standard evening out at our favorite Mexican restaurant El Azteca on Roswell Rd. It always involves cheese dip and a pitcher of frozen margaritas. YUM!!!
We love hanging out with them and on this occasion it was like wedding/couple therapy.
I find it odd that there are no books or even outward mentions of the dirty side of wedding planning. You really have to bring that out of people and pursue answers for them to talk about it.
Since I am experiencing my own drama with wedding planning, I am shocked to discover that this is not in fact a unique phenomenon. In hindsight, it truly is amazing how supportive all my girlfriends are and have been in sharing their experiences and listening to my own.
It seems like it's own little niche market and I'm amazed that more "wedding therapists" aren't
advertising at wedding shows....or maybe I'm biased because I'm advocate of therapy in everyday life anyway....regardless, it was an interesting night of revelations. I'm so glad that we get to call them friends.
