Every day I learn a little something new about event design and the different components that make it.....well....a production.
Since I had been leanging towards an event at the Trolley Barn, I decided I wanted to check out an Atlanta lighting design company that could do lighting.
I just wanted to get a ball park and thus bench mark.
After searching through a few very LARGE (re: expensive) companies like Magnum Lighting, I found a company to give me a quote.
He came back with $2,000.00 for lighting the perimeter with violet uplighting, spotlighting/pin lighting on all centerpieces, custom gobo for dance floor (monogram), and leaf pattern to put on the dance floor/walls as well.
From what I can tell, that's actually a pretty good deal, but alas it is WAYYYY out of my budget.
Goodness, who knew that lights could cost so much. However, I must say that I do appreciate the ambiance that lighting lends to a reception and if I had more money, that would be the first place it would go to. So, just some more random wedding information I can add to my already exploding head. WOO!
