Roll out the Red Carpet at the Fox

Februry 24, 2008

Well, I finally got to a different wedding/bridal show other than the Great Bridal Expo. This one was held by Chic Occasions at the Fabulous Fox Theatre.

It was actually a very pleasant experience.

The show was free and I only had to pay $5 to park. Which was an added bonus.

When I got there, a line had formed, so I lined up, checked in and was given a tiara to wear to identify me as abride. Way cute.

The show held in the Egyptian ballroom and the grand salon and there were quite a few really great vendors there. They had music playing, cake samples, pretty much any vendor you could think of was there.

I managed to snag a seat pretty close to the front for the fashion show which turned out to be just ok. It was cool to see the different dresses, though the models didn't seem like they had a clue what they were doing. It was cool to see bridal dresses, bridesmaid's dresses, flower girl dresses and tuxxes. At the end of the show, the models through their bouquets into the audience for prizes. I haven't seen women go crazy like that in a while. Kinda scary. I mean, I love a good deal, prize, free stuff....etc. But goodness......

Overall I had a really great experience, met some good vendors, did a little bit of networking and took home some goodies.
