Atlanta Event and Design

Well, after deciding that I would definitely need help to pull this wedding off, I decided to look into finding a wedding planner/consultant. I did some research and came across Cameo Events (which I called and made an appointment with) and Atlanta Event and Design.
Although I had spoken with Lara at Cameo Events first and planned to meet on Friday, I decided to go ahead and meet with Kaye from Atlanta Event and Design today because she was available
I met with Kaye for lunch at Chick-fil a and she bought me lunch which was very sweet. At first I got along quite well with her and we were brainstorming and going over ideas together. Then came the money part. All of a sudden I was strong armed into going with a full service package with her when I knew that all I wanted to month of coordinator. She claimed it was all or day of for her services. She charged a flat rate of $2,000.00 + 10 -15% of the overall budget over $20,000.00. Confusing right?
After we started talking she basically acted as if I had booked her already and started speaking as if I was already her client. I realized that our styles clashed and I would need someone who was a little less Newnan Georgia style. Of course this is just my opinion and perspective.
Needless to say I chose NOT to hire Kaye.
