The site is gorgeous and fits PERFECTLY with my Midsummer Night's Dream Theme.
Everything about it is pure gorgeousness. Magnolia Hall is located in Piedmont Park near the Tennis Courts. The floors are a beautiful green marble that meets with a real wooden dance floor at the front of the building. The window drapes are a light green color with a bit of a textured pattern and were very good at blocking out the sunlight. The outside of the building is a grayish-purple stucco looking stone.
The structure of the building is very Frank Lloyd Wright with dark wood, overhead beams and oversized lanterns.
The bathrooms are nice and large, very clean and definitely well thought out.
(Just a random note: I have determined that bathrooms are a variable for me when I'm considering any venue. It's just a thing I notice as a guest/vendor when attending other weddings)
The rental comes with the use of table and chairs (maple CHIVARI chairs - heavenly), set up, break down, a small tent to cover a portion of the outside patio and house a bar, as well as use of the AV equipment.
I AM IN LOVE!!!!
Sorry babe, I'm cheating on you with a venue.
Seriously, I heart this place so much and I can't wait to show Al.
The overall feel is so classy and elegant, while still being very laid back and very "Atlantan".
The only negative things about Magnolia Hall is the fact that you MUST use their bar packages (which are pretty expensive) and you must use a preferred vendor from their list or pay an additional $500.00 to bring in the caterer of your choosing. I can see where this may be an issue when it comes to our budget. I hope not, because I do not want to get my heart broken by this.
